1. Whatever comes into action is always in accordance with the will of God who is the actual doer. The difficulty arises when we link it with our own will or action, thinking it to be the result of our efforts. We rejoice at success and feel aggrieved at failure merely for that reason. This is the only thing which serves to keep us in bondage. VR I 99
  2. Honesty pays in the end; and dishonesty only in the beginning AB I P 12
  3. Peace is the substance we want and restlessness is the instrument we use. What we gain from restlessness is peace. Restlessness gives you advancement to Divinity. AB I P 28
  4. A man who was ungrateful is not worthy of spiritual knowledge. If such a man desired to be diverted to spirituality he ought to give up the habit of ingratitude. AB I P 154.
  5. 4th Maxim- To be truthful , in fact , means to represent oneself as he is. This is such a condition or state of being having attained which man begins to exclaim “It is as it is” TM 42
  6. Since the thought does not generally reach up to that extent nor does anybody ponders over this philosophy, it has just been advised to consider it as from Almighty so that enemity may not be created in the heart, and he may not fall from etiquette under any circumstances. TM 50
  7. Our first and foremost Maxim relates to meditation and devotion (sandhya and upasana). The reason is, we will be drawing the power, which we have to finally attain in due course, by following that Maxim. TM-13
